Julia Heney is from Montpelier, Vermont. She received her MFA from the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University, where she taught creative writing and literature. She currently lives in Chicago, where she works as a UX writer.

In the before times, she curated the Tangelo Reading Series (2018-2020) and Hey You, Come Back (2013-2015).
